Today marks 27 weeks and the third trimester...yea! I had a quick checkup this morning and everything is the same which is good. Dr. R. said we didn't gain any ground but we didn't lose any either and we should be happy with that week after week. I passed my one hour glucose test last week which is the test for gestational diabetes. This was very good news because most women on bed rest fail for one reason or another. I also had a manicure/pedicure tonight which was wonderful; I was starting to be really embarrassed at the sight of my feet and since I don't wear shoes anymore it was becoming a problem.
The babies still look great and were head to head facing each other as usual. It's so funny to me that they are always like that when we see them because they are pretty active. I think Baby A is going to be a soccer player just like her Aunt Meredith...she's always moving her legs and kicking away. She also had the hiccups this morning during the sonogram. Baby B was sleepy (or stubborn? not sure who he could possibly get that from) this morning so we didn't get a good look at him; his back was to us the entire time. Next week we'll get weights which is always fun! I've been doing my part; I've been drinking a ton of milk and trying to eat all of my meals even when they don't taste all that great. I have also had Brandon bring me the occasional Frosty from Wendy's...yum!
Random observation: I can hear all kinds of things outside of my room. I can hear nurses laughing, visitors of other patients chatting in the hall, for a while it sounded like my neighbor was constantly rearranging furniture (she just had her babies 2 days ago). However, people can not hear me say "come in" when they knock on my door. It's not like I have a quiet voice, so I'm not sure what the deal is. On a side note, my new neighbor is a patient of my OB/GYN and is expecting triplets.

You are doing so wonderful Shanna! I am so proud of you! When I was there it was pretty loud too and it always made me want to join in the conversations... You know I hate to miss a party :) Jenn B
