Good first weekend!

The first weekend in my new temporary home was great. Brandon spent the evening here Friday and stayed overnight which was a real treat for me, but probably not so much for him. The pull out couch is directly under an vent and apparently gets very cold. It was still nice having him here when I went to sleep and when I woke up Saturday morning!

Saturday my friends Karen and Barbara brought me a yummy lunch from Chik-fil-A. Thanks, girls...it was so nice to see you. Paul and Brooke brought me some beautiful orchids and visited for a little while also. I've gotten so many compliments already on those flowers. Daryoush and Karisa came to watch the first half of the Cowboys game and brought balloons and magazines. The Cowboys gave me an incredible win...thanks boys! It was a full day of visitors which made for a great Saturday!

I also received a gorgeous live wreath which everyone comments on as soon as they walk in the room. It smells wonderful and I think the nurses really enjoy seeing it hanging on my door...it adds some holiday cheer to the hallway. The Curley family sent some really cute Christmas ornaments and decorations as well. My room looks so cute now!

Sunday is weight check day which isn't so bad because they weigh me in kilograms. Sure, I could google the conversion to pounds, but I choose not to. Sometimes google really isn't your friend. I won't have another cervical check until Wednesday. If my cervix has stabilized, the doctor is going to send in a physical therapist to show me some safe exercises to do while on bed rest. I really hope that happens! I'm still feeling pretty good, but I can imagine that even minimal stretching and exercise will do wonders for me in the long run.
The weekend isn't over yet...I'm expecting a few more visitors today, but I wanted to make sure I got a post in before Monday.
This a picture of some of my Christmas decorations. Sorry for the horrible quality...I only have my Blackberry camera to use right now.

Cowboys balloons...so so so happy about the win!

Random bed rest observation of the day: In case you're curious, you aren't missing any outstanding commercials by watching all of your shows via tivo/DVR. There are a few that are ok, but not worth watching TV in real time. Sorry to any advertising creative types out there...product placement is the way to go.
