So, SMU makes its first bowl appearance in 25 years and WINS!!!! I am one happy SMU girl tonight. I have waited a long time for this bowl win; I'm not one of those fair weather fans...I've been supporting my Ponies wholeheartedly since 1996.
First the Cowboys beat the Saints, then the Mustangs win a bowl game! Woohoo!
My good friend Sara and I had made a pact about 8 years ago that we would go to SMU's first bowl game since the death penalty. Well, Sara had a beautiful baby boy last week and I'm on hospital bed rest, so that obviously didn't happen. However, Brandon and I bought two tickets for the troops so hopefully whoever used them had a fantastic time!
In case you didn't watch, the final score was SMU 45, Nevada 10. I'm already looking forward to next season!
