Today marks 20 weeks of pregnancy! For a typical singleton pregnancy this marks the half way point. For a typcial twin pregnancy, 20 weeks is a little past that. My doctor's goal for me is to make it 37 weeks. By the way, this week the babies are the size of a banana.
I am trying to approach this in a different way. Marathon runners will tell you that the first half of a marathon is 20 miles and the second half is the last 6.2 (yes, the .2 is very important). As someone who has done a few marathons, I can say that this is definitely true. I'm going to think of the first 30 weeks of pregnancy as the half way point. I think this will help when I'm huge and uncomfortable with little bladder control. We'll see if it works!
Another thing I keep wondering about is this whole nesting thing. Everyone says that it will kick in and I'll be crazy cleaning, organizing, etc. I don't know if those people know me very well. I hope it's true and I hope it kicks in soon because right now I'm more interested in the new episode of Top Chef that starts in 5 minutes. It's down to the final four. That is so much more exciting to me than organizing closets! Either way, I know all this cleaning and organizing has to get done sooner rather than later; I just wish I enjoyed it even a little. Maybe it will change?
