Fast movers!

We have fully mobile babies in the house! They are crawling all over the house and are pretty quick. So far they aren't getting into anything but I'm sure it won't be long before they are ready to explore what's in the cabinets, what's on the other end of some cords, etc. We are watching their every move and trying to stay one step ahead of them on the baby-proofing but there are bound to be some accidents and mishaps.

They are also in wrestling mode. They can get up on their knees now and are starting to pull up on just about everything. If one is starting to crawl into my lap, the other will tackle and move ahead. It's pretty funny to watch but the discipline will have to start soon. I've already started saying "no" a lot. I just need to do it without a huge smile on my face :)

Brooks got his third, and hopefully last helmet this week. Here is a new picture of him. We haven't decided on the design yet. I promise I don't only take pictures when he is smiling...he is pretty much just always smiling.

The icy roads forced all four of us to stay home today. I had to work all day being month end, but it was still nice to have all four us under one roof on a random Tuesday. Luckily Brooks and Charlotte both took long morning and afternoon naps so the house was fairly quiet for at least 4 day time hours. The other hours were spent playing with toys and Brandon.

Charlotte loves to throw a toy under the exersaucer and then crawl under it. Brooks is usually not far behind her but decides to turn around and play with something. He's smart enough to know that he can't fit with her...unless he wants her to claw his face which she does more often than she should. She is definitely the bully of the two!

We've had some fun family dinners out lately. These pictures are from our favorite restaurant, Fernando's. It's only a mile from the house so we can always get home quickly if necessary. They eat some fresh avocado and are usually perfectly content. Breadwinners is also a great place to go for those of you with kids looking for more options.

These videos were shot from my iphone so they may not be great. I am charging the Flip video recorder now so I can get some fun videos of them crawling all over the place. The first video is Charlotte giggling while I'm tickling her. The second is Brooks playing peek-a-boo with me.

School is going well, but my class is cancelled tomorrow, hence the post. I am not procrastinating! However, procrastinating now is different than in undergrad. Karen and I would think of really awesome (some would say stupid, but whatever) messages for our answering machine (remember those?). Now I just hop on facebook or play angry birds. Brandon's classes are pretty intense, but he's still enjoying his program and doing a great job of balancing everything.
Happy Superbowl week!
