The babies are both laughing so much now and rolling like crazy. They sit really well propped up and for a few seconds unassisted. The helmets are working amazingly well. They have been on for almost 2 months now. We have to go each week for growth adjustments and this week is the repeat of full measurements and scans to measure the progress. The assumption is that Charlotte will graduate from hers next week and then Brooks will get his second band.
We converted our little wine room into a play area which is working out really well. Charlotte had so much fun playing on her new mat the first day that she wore herself out and decided to just take a nap.
Brooks LOVES the exersaucer (thanks Greg and Les!). He can be on the verge of a level 5 meltdown and the exersaucer just takes all his worries away. He presses the different buttons and gets so excited!
We also just took our first family vacation, via airplane, to our good friends' family home just outside of Richmond, VA. We had an amazing time and cannot thank the Royalls enough for having us and making it so easy for us. I have to brag a little about Brooks and Charlotte...they were the best little travelers parents could ask for. They were so great on the plane...no meltdowns, no dirty diapers, very minimal crying. On the way home Brooks slept the entire flight and the flight attendants begged to hold Charlotte and walk her around. Brandon and I were so proud and very relieved.
I think that's our lives in a nutshell for the last month or so. We can't wait for fall weather so we can enjoy some outdoor activities! My half marathon training officially begins this week...wish me luck!
